"We began on the steps of the University of Cape Town (UCT) in 2012. Students were commuting to and from class with impractical, unattractive bags and so our idea to design really beautiful bags at an affordable price point was born. Fast forward to today and we're proud to say we employ 27 leather artisans, have four physical stores dotted around South Africa, an online store, and international distribution in Switzerland, England and Australia," says ROWDY Bags' Managing Director Adam Young on the origins of the burgeoning leather bags and accessories company which celebrates a decade of being in business this year.
