The Rogue Moonbag is our take on the Moon Bag for someone who wants the silhouette in its leanest form. Premium bovine hair-on-hide on the body, full-aniline leather strap. Smaller footprint, lower profile, the kind of bag you wear and forget about until you need it.

YKK zip closure keeps the contents secure. An inner pocket for cards or keys. Adjustable leather strap clips on for waist or crossbody carry, off for storage. Slim enough to wear under a jacket, distinctive enough to wear on its own.

Hand-stitched in Cape Town. Repair-for-Life Promise on every bag.

Care for your leather

Hair-on-hide is natural cowhide with the hair retained. Brush gently in the direction of the hair with a soft brush to keep it clean. Avoid soaking. For light marks, a slightly damp cloth wiped in the direction of the hair is fine.

The leather strap is full-aniline, no surface coating. Condition with leather food every few months. Avoid alcohol-based cleaners. The strap will deepen and develop character with wear.

How does the Repair-for-Life Promise work? +
If a seam goes, a clip breaks, or hardware fails through normal use, send it back. We assess, repair and return, usually within 2-3 weeks. Wear and tear (the hair softening, the leather strap deepening) isn't a defect; that's the materials doing what they should.
What is hair-on-hide? +
Hair-on-hide is natural cowhide with the hair retained, rather than removed during tanning. Every piece is unique in texture and pattern. It's a premium finish, more delicate than smooth leather, but it ages beautifully when looked after.
How do I care for hair-on-hide? +
Brush gently in the direction of the hair with a soft brush. Avoid soaking. For light marks, a slightly damp cloth wiped in the direction of the hair is fine. The leather strap follows standard leather-food care.
Does it fit a phone, keys, wallet? +
Yes, comfortably fits an iPhone Pro Max, keys and a card wallet. Slimmer than our standard Moon Bag, so this is for someone carrying less day-to-day.
Payflex and PayJustNow, how do they work? +
Both let you split the price into interest-free instalments. Payflex is 4 payments over 6 weeks; PayJustNow is 3 monthly payments. Choose either at checkout. No interest if you pay on time.

Free local shipping over R1,500, 2-5 working days. International R800 flat, 5-10 working days. 10-day returns, free in South Africa. Custom-debossed bags can't be returned.
How heavy is it? +
About 280g. Light enough to wear and forget.
Will every bag look the same? +
No. Hair-on-hide is natural, so the surface markings, hair direction and tonal variation are unique to each piece. Two bags from the same colour will not be identical.
