Dicker & Dane are a South African creative queer duo based in Cape Town, comprising photographer Armand Dicker and stylist Anthony Hinrichsen.
'On Assignment', a recent fashion and lifestyle editorial in Dapper Tapper magazine, was one of the first editorial shoots that Dicker & Dane got to work on together in this new capacity as a creative duo, and was also the first shoot they got to work with a professional model, makeup artist and photographic assistant.
ROWDY is beyond thrilled to have been a part of their creative process with our Rucksack featured in Copper Shade and our Duffel featured in Cedar and Charcoal Shades respectively.
“We were given the opportunity to shoot with Luke Volker from Boss Models when he was unable to get back to where he is based in the USA due to travel restrictions. It's not everyday that IMG models are in Cape Town, so we were excited to take the opportunity to work with him. In talking to him we were reminded of the type of man author John le Carré might think up for one of his spy novels,” says Dicker.
“This gave us the perfect location. A rocky, boulderous spot we frequent to read, tan or just get away. A running joke between me and Ant is how I can travel around the world while being in South Africa. For example some days the colour of the ocean at Glen beach along with the rock formations transported me to Croatia. This seemed like the perfect setting for our Spy Novel! ROWDY bags suited the theme perfectly, helping to tell the story of a man on the move,” adds Dicker.
The Duffel

The Rucksack
